حروف بزرگ  Capital Letters

حروف بزرگ در موارد زير به كار مي رود

1-نخستين كلمه جمله و قطعه ي كوچك (Fragment)

Example: Is it possible for man to buld up a colony on the moon. Almost not? A

2-اسامي روزهاي هفته و ماه هاي سال

Example:Next Sunday is 8 January, 2012. A

3-اسامي زبان ها 

Example: Sara speaks Farsi, English, French and Italian. A

4-اسامي مكان ها، هنگامي كه به عنوان صفات نسبي مورد استفاده قرار مي گيرند

 Example: The Iranian and European negotiations are close to agreement. A

ياد آوري: اگر اينگونه اسامي جزء عبارت شده باشند و رابطه وابستگي را بيان نكنند با حروف كوچك شروع مي شوند.

Example: She perfers russian dressings in her salad. A

5-اسامي گروه هاي قومي

 Example: It is for autonomy that the Basques and the Catalans have spent decades struggling. A

6-بعضي اسامي Black  و White را هنگامي به نژادها اشاره مي كند با حروف بزرگ آغاز مي كنند

 Example: Martin Luter slauter infuriated many Black Americans. A

7-اسامي خاص

Example: Noam Chomsky revolotionized the study of language. A

8-اسامي دوره هاي تاريخي شاخص

 Example: Europe experienced dark years during the Middle Ages. A

9-اسامي جشن ها و رويدادها

     Example: There are long breaks at Norooz In Iran. A

10- اسامي اديان و اسامي ديني (پيروان اديان، عناوين الهي، شخصيت هاي ديني، كتب مقدس، رخدادهاي ديني)

Example:A

                     An atheist never believes in God.A

     The principal religions of Japan are Shinto and Buddhism. A

     The Indian cricket team includes Hindus, Muslims, Sikhs and Parsees.A

     All Praise belongs to the Lord the Two Worlds.A

      The Prophet was born in Mecca.A

The Hajj Pilgrimage takes place in Dhul- Hajje every year.A

     The Quran was revealed to the Holy Prophet.A

11-نخستين كلمه ي و كلمات مهم (بغير از حروف تعريف، حروف اضافه، كلمات ربط) عناوين كتب، نمايشنامه، شعر، فيلم، روزنامه، قطعه ي موسيقي، ... با حرف بزرگ شروع مي شود.

Example:A

      I was terrified by The Silence of the Lambs. A

     The Round Tower was written by Catherine Cookson.A

      Bach's most famous organ piece is the Toccata and Fugue in D Minor.A

   I don't usually like Cher, but I do enjoy The Shoop Shoop Song.A

ياد آوري: روش ديگر نوشتن عناوين بدين ترتيب است كه اوّلين كلمه ي عنوان با حرف بزرگ شروع مي شود و بقيّه با حرف كوچك مگر كلماتي كه ذاتا با حرف بزرگ نوشته مي شوند.

Example:  The round tower was written by Catherine Cookson.A

12-جملات داخل علامت نقل قول ها با حرف بزرگ نوشته مي شوند.

Example:Thomas Edison claimed "Genius is one per cent inspiration and ninety-nine per cent is perspiration."A

13-اسامي توليد كنندگان و محصولاتشان با حرف بزرگ شروع مي شوند.
